Wild silk is produced by silkworms that live in the wild, feeding on and inhabiting trees. This type of silk has a much more textured quality compared to regular silk, and due to its shorter fiber length, wild silk shares more characteristics with wool while retaining the positive attributes of silk. The production process of wild silk is also known as non-violent, where the silk is processed without harming the silkworm. After the moth emerges from its cocoon, the silk is then collected and processed into yarn.
